A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Feltham, Hounslow is looking to appoint a Head of Science from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Science Teacher ready to step into leadership or an existing Head of Science seeking a fresh challenge in a forward-thinking school.
As Head of Science, you'll lead a team of dedicated teachers across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring high-quality teaching, curriculum planning, and outcomes at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The Head of Science will work closely with SLT to raise attainment and promote STEM across the wider school community. The school is seeking a Head of Science who is confident in data analysis, departmental line management, and curriculum development. Experience teaching A-Level in at least one science subject is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, manage, and develop a team of science teachers
- Drive improvements in teaching, learning, and achievement
- Oversee departmental planning and assessment
- Contribute to whole-school leadership as a middle leader
- UK QTS with experience teaching science to KS4/KS5
- Strong leadership potential or prior leadership experience
