To provide support to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for processing, recording, maintaining, and reconciling accounts. You will also prepare reports and analyze expenditures against the budget.
- Assist Accountants in performing general ledger functions
- Record and code financial transactions for department expenditures, project costing, and company profitability
- Verify and confirm data for accounting systems
- Compile financial information to prepare reports for job costing, budget analysis, and overhead accounting
- Track expenses for companies, departments, and projects
- Inform staff and clients about procedural and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance in all financial transactions
- Maintain files in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations
Knowledge of standard accounting practices and terminology (Construction background would be advantageous). Analytical skills, ability to work as part of a team, and understanding of filing systems are essential.
