The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK and Ireland's Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK and Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in Northern Ireland and shipped throughout the UK and Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout the UK and Europe.
Alternative Heat are looking to recruit abrasive blasting technicians to work within our surface preparation division based in the Banbridge area. This will be an opportunity to work at our state-of-the-art surface preparation and protective coatings workshop and make a real contribution to the ongoing success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Power wash components to remove contamination where necessary.
- Protect machine surfaces and mask any areas not requiring surface preparation and protection.
- Shotblast surfaces to the required profile.
- Abrasive cleaning of metal surfaces to remove debris/paint.
- Experience using blast pots and working within a modernised blast booth.
- Work safely and adhere to the Alternative Heat company policies and procedures.
- Read, understand and implement risk assessments and safe working practices/procedures safely and efficiently.
- Follow the schedule communicated by the Supervisor and Manager.
- Work as part of a team to successfully achieve the aims and objectives of the work scope and schedule.
- Maintain tools and equipment daily.
- Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits.
