We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a business services organisation based in Totton, near Southampton. As Assistant Management Accountant, you will have the opportunity to increase the finance capability of this growing business, whilst working in close alignment with the Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing month-end journals – accruals and prepayments
- Daily bank reconciliations across multiple currencies
- Supporting with the fixed asset register
- Reconciliation and processing of staff expenses
- Liaising with internal stakeholders on budgets

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Management Accountant / Accountant / Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant
- Attention to detail to maintain the integrity of the numbers
- Experience of balance sheet reconciliations and taking accruals and prepayments to month-end
- Confidence using Excel, including VLookups and pivot tables
