Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent HR/Corporate Services Manager, working for a client located in Chester-Le-Street. This is a newly created role which is pivotal to the success of the business. The role requires a detailed, focused individual who has the goals and mission of the organisation at the heart of everything they do. Reporting to the Employment and Skills Director, interacting with managers and staff across the whole organisation; you will create reports on the area of responsibility for both Senior Management and Governance meetings. This role can be a full-time or part-time role (probably 3 days per week).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To work with line managers and Senior Management Team on all HR matters
  • To maintain an awareness of current employment legislation and advise line managers accordingly
  • Responsibility for writing and updating of company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all monthly one to one staff meetings are carried out by line managers
  • Take responsibility for all staff recruitment, ensuring safer recruitment practices are followed
  • Responsibility for premises/facilities
  • Induction of new staff members
  • Responsibility for overseeing holiday requests and approvals

Applicants:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified and/or considerable relative experience
  • Operated within a standalone HR/Corporate Services role
  • Track record of delivering employee engagement initiatives
  • Ability to drive results
  • Creative thinker who is detail oriented
  • Ability to run a number of projects and deliver on time
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience of handling disciplinary meetings
  • Proactive and innovative HR Professional with a clear understanding of how to drive performance through people
  • Ability to see the bigger picture while being aware of the commercial requirements of the organisation

  • Willingness to travel to other sites if required

Subject to a basic DBS check. Salary is £35,000 to £40,000 (pro-rata), dependent on experience.
