Smile Education are recruiting on behalf of a two-form entry primary school based in Tamworth for an Intervention Support Assistant.

What your day would look like:

  • Leading small group intervention sessions focusing on specific subjects.
  • Providing effective feedback to learners and their families.
  • Marking work tasks completed during sessions.
  • Supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis where required.
  • Ensuring children are learning in a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Supervising and managing group behaviour.

  • A minimum of a level 2 supporting teaching and learning qualification is required.
  • Experience supporting children within a primary school setting is required.
  • You must show a positive and uplifting manner.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
