NG Bailey is involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This project represents a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain, providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. As the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, NG Bailey is part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture responsible for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installation.
We are seeking Materials Coordinators to support the Material to Site Function by managing material preparation and configuration, ensuring outbound materials are ready based on the installation plan. This is a full-time permanent position based at logistics sites around Bridgwater, with onsite parking available.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Attending coordination meetings covering procurement, expediting, and warehouse inventory for all MEH Material.
- Coordinating and communicating with material package managers, warehouse teams, and construction teams.
- Gathering data from a 16-week lookahead to support scheduling deliveries and installation materials per category and area.
- Assisting with cataloguing, issuing materials, and data entry into the asset management system.
- Collaborating with planning, engineering, logistics, and site teams to ensure smooth operations of materials.
- Providing feedback on process improvements, HS&E, and reporting structures.
- Managing documentation related to maintenance and disposal of plant, materials, and equipment.
- Ensuring documentation and records are organized for audits and inspections.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in construction procurement or warehouse asset management.
- Understanding of material disciplines, standards, and handling/storage requirements.
- Proven asset management experience with a focus on quality records.
- Strong IT skills, especially in data entry into asset/inventory systems.
- Experience in producing and managing reports for compliance.
