Job Opportunity: Band 3 Dietetic Assistant (Part-Time, 18.75hrs/week)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the supportive and friendly Home Enteral Feeding dietetic team for 12 months, covering maternity leave. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication, IT, and organizational skills, and experience working with people. The position is based at City Hospital, Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work within the home enteral feeding dietetic team to provide effective nutritional support to patients receiving enteral (tube) feeding at home.
2. Deliver administrative and clerical support, including registering patients onto the Homeward MyConnex system.
3. Monitor the busy mailbox, meet deadlines, and action arising matters.
4. Conduct weight checks during home visits and visits to schools (car user advantageous but not essential).
5. Manage a caseload of reviews under the supervision of a registered dietitian.
6. Communicate with patients via telephone to gather information, nutritional intake details, and troubleshoot immediate nutritional issues.
7. Order and monitor nutritional products, complete patient case notes, and input data into relevant systems following professional and departmental guidelines.

Team and Development:

You will be part of a supportive team comprising Administrators, Dietetic Assistants, Technicians, and an experienced Chief Dietetic Technician.
