Oakhurst, Lyndene, The Big House, and Caudwell House have vacancies for relief Social Care Workers. We are a collection of specialist children's homes in Mansfield, Edwinstowe, and Southwell in Nottinghamshire.
We are looking for committed and resilient individuals to work with our children. Do you want to be part of amazing teams, all dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking Relief Residential Social Care Workers to join our team. Our residential workers come from diverse backgrounds, but we are all experienced and eager to support new team members.
The successful candidates will join dedicated teams, committed to working hard to meet the needs of the children we care for. Ideally, you will have NVQ Level 3/Diploma in Residential Childcare. If not, you will be required to undertake this qualification. You will also need to have at least 6 months of experience in Residential Child Care.
This is a 24-hour service; therefore, you will be required to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Rota schedules are designed to enable relief workers to plan shifts for a work-life balance, though sometimes short notice work may be required. Shifts during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays attract enhanced pay, increasing your basic salary.
Applicants should provide detailed responses to the shortlisting criteria when applying. Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts, both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise specified.
