FBP Accounting Assistant
Location: Oxford | Job Type: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:
- Support R&D and Corporate Finance Business Partnering within the Finance team.
- Assist with monthly cost centre reviews using Tableau and prepare review-ready data.
- Analyze budget variances and prepare correcting journals.
- Gather data for R&D capitalisation and RDEC tax credit calculations.
- Manage monthly meeting schedules and track action points.
- Maintain project codes in D365 and support R&D staff with PO and supplier queries.
- Post journals in D365 and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Handle R&D amortisation and capitalisation records.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Organize records on SharePoint for the FBP team.
- Complete ONS Business Surveys.
- Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree-level education.
- Experience in financial reporting, including month-end processes.
Desirable:
- Part-qualified accountant or willingness to undertake qualification.
- Experience with R&D tax credits or capitalisation.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, XLookups, SumIfs).
- Knowledge of financial systems and ability to develop them.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and team collaboration.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Team player willing to contribute at all levels.
