We are seeking to appoint a Laboratory General Assistant for the Chemistry and Biology Preparation rooms to undertake general duties to assist in the smooth running of resourcing and preparation for lessons for the Science Department.
The Laboratory General Assistant will have responsibility for:
- Cleaning of glassware and equipment used for practical lessons.
- Basic stock maintenance of the Chemistry/Biology Preparation Rooms and labs.
- Preparing stock solutions of chemicals for Chemistry and Biology use.
Working collaboratively with the rest of the technical team and forming an integral part of the Whitgift Science Department. The Laboratory General Assistant is supervised by the Team Lead Technician.
The salary range for this post will be Point 18-20 on the Whitgift Foundation Support Staff Salary Scale. The full-time salary will be between £31,247 gross pay per annum (at Point 18) to £32,902 gross pay per annum (Point 20) depending on qualifications and relevant experience. The Pro-rata salary range for this post will be £24,997 gross pay per annum to £26,321 gross pay per annum to reflect Term Time only.
