A new opportunity for an Entry Level Accounts Assistant to work for a growing business based in Guildford.

Job Description

1. Assist with daily financial operations, ensuring accurate records of payments, receipts, and invoices.
2. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
3. Process payments to suppliers and manage invoices for timely settlement.
4. Help maintain and update financial databases to support business operations.
5. Assist with monthly financial reporting and provide data analysis to support decision-making.
6. Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
7. Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.

The Successful Applicant

1. A strong academic background with a solid understanding of maths and finance principles.
2. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
3. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
4. Problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying and addressing financial discrepancies.
5. Prior experience in finance or accounting is beneficial but not essential, as long as you have a strong interest and willingness to learn.
6. May be studying towards an accountancy qualification.
