The Role: As a Technical Operator, you will collaborate with various internal and external contacts daily. Your responsibilities include maintaining control and operation of strategic source water sites and managing your time effectively to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic electrical tasks.
  • Apply technical skills to operate, maintain, improve, and repair equipment.
  • Control and oversee the operation of strategic source water sites.
  • Manage your time efficiently to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Understand principles of site design and operation.
  • Follow safety and environmental procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain quality standards according to local procedures.
  • Respond to site and equipment breakdowns to restore plant supply safely.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical background in utilities or similar industry is essential; water industry experience is desirable.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience in reviewing risk assessments and enforcing safe working practices is preferred.

Essential training will be provided to build your confidence in the operational area.
