We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator/Welder with a background in structural steelwork and architectural metalwork. Our client specialises in fabricating steel structures such as building frames, stairs, balustrades, canopies, and other related architectural metalwork for major building contracts across the UK. Please note: This position does not involve sheet metalwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabrication and welding of structural steel and architectural metalwork components.
- Work independently to produce high-quality outputs while adhering to tight tolerances.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Problem-solving and taking on various challenges within fabrication and welding tasks.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, particularly with 6mm multi-run fillets.
- Significant experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Preferred: NVQ Level 2 in welding or other relevant welding qualifications.
- Desirable: Possession of a CSCS card.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, positive attitude, and a reliable work ethic.
- Good communication skills and a sense of humour.
- Extensive experience in structural steelwork and architectural metalwork.
- Capability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Competitive hourly rate up to £15.50, dependent on experience.
