Role Overview:
The FTTH Engineer is responsible for the installation of ‘Fibre to the Home’ broadband services to residential customers. As a customer-facing, field-based role, high levels of customer service and producing a quality service is paramount.
Requirements:
- Installation of FTTH broadband services to residential premises, including carrying out external and internal cabling work.
- Working at heights up to 15 metres, including working on telegraph poles and ladders.
- Delivering professional and quality customer service.
- Self-auditing work to ensure it meets all company and client standards.
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety standards, including carrying out daily checks to ensure safety.
- Maintenance of a clean and tidy environment at all times.
- Prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Full UK Driving License is essential due to the field-based nature of the role; candidates must have held this license for 1 year and have a maximum of 6 points.
- Full training will be provided to the right candidate; however, candidates with experience working on the BT Openreach network and hold NRSWA Street Works qualifications are desirable.
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and clients.
- Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, with liaison with Team Managers.
- Ability to take direction from management and carry out works in an efficient and timely manner.
- Dedication to delivering high levels of customer service.
