We are currently looking for a Tech with a difference!
Responsibilities:
- You will have previous experience in diagnosing and finding solutions to component level faults on the vast array of modern vehicles, as well as a thorough understanding of modern communication protocols such as CAN/LIN/FlexRay.
- You will also be fully competent in understanding and interpreting live data streams, programming and coding modules on-site and on the bench.
- We only use dealer tools on site, full training will be given on the use of each tool.
- You will need a current passport. Travel out of the country is quite rare, but not unheard of. You may be needed to assist another employee. Work of this nature is usually a maximum of 2 nights for which all travel and accommodation will be paid for along with a generous away from home daily allowance.
Qualifications:
- It would be highly desirable if you have a solid grounding and knowledge of hex code and pulling information from often encrypted EEPROM and flash dumps.
- A keen eye for detail and good mathematics skills are beneficial.
- A1 soldering skills are needed, as most of our work is usually on an SMD level.
- It would also be an advantage if you are fully WinOLS competent and are able to understand ECU maps for the tuning side of the business.
- Qualifications arenβt that vital, but at least be able to spell your own name. We would prefer you to have many years in the auto electrical industry with a few qualifications, especially in EV, and a keen interest in making the impossible possible.
- You will also need a full GB or EU driving licence and your own small/medium sized van, no older than 5 years.
- You will need to be fluent in the English language.
