We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our London office as one of our Data, Cloud, DevOps or Software Engineers, ranging from junior engineer to principal solution architect. You can of course work in several of these areas! As part of our team, you will work on innovative solutions that give our clients a head start in the digital world. You will be involved in consulting, designing, and implementing cutting-edge technologies, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
What will you be doing?
- You are an advocate of high-quality engineering.
- You drive innovation through strategic prioritization and technical subject matter expertise.
- You participate in (or lead) wider architecture discussions.
- You will participate in (or lead) Data, Cloud, DevOps or Software Engineering team.
- You provide consultancy to our clients on Data, Cloud, DevOps or Software Engineering topics.
- You will interact directly with senior client stakeholders and build strong client relationships and collaborate with clients to maximize the value of their data and technology investments.
- You work as part of a group of highly experienced engineers at one of our clients in the Finance Industry.
- You lead by example by taking ownership, being proactive, and collaborating.
- You will design and build innovative and re-useable solutions using modern technologies.
- You will be a member of, lead or mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- You will contribute to Blue Harvest’s vision and innovation portfolio.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Strong (Hands-on) technical expertise in implementing software, cloud, and/or data solutions.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with designing and building end-to-end software solutions.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Scala, or C#.
- Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Experience in working in an Agile environment.
We expect that no matter what your grade is, you will be rolling up your sleeves and writing that wonderful code!
Subject-matter Qualifications (subject to assignment & your personal engineering focus):
- Infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or ELK stack.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible and Chef.
- Experience with building Event-Driven applications (Kafka) and API solutions.
- Experience with data engineering, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and data services ecosystems (ADF, SQL DWH, Data Bricks).
- Experience in Distributed Data Computing and Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Cassandra, Teradata).
- Experience with designing and building APIs.

- Previous experience in Finance / payments / insurance industries.
- Experience with both on-premises and cloud solutions.
- Previous consultancy experience.
