Here at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and supportive team as an Infrastructure Engineer (Endpoint).

If you have experience configuring and supporting endpoint device management solutions, Office 365, and managing corporate networks, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

You will initially be expected to focus on improving our endpoint device management solutions, but over time, you will focus on other systems and services with the wider Infrastructure team, sharing knowledge and skills.

As a member of the Infrastructure Team, you would be responsible for:

  • Performing daily system health checks, via physical and automated monitoring systems.
  • Picking up 2nd and 3rd line escalations from the Service Desk for Infrastructure systems.
  • Maintaining and improving infrastructure hardware, platforms, and system health.
  • Being involved in our ongoing Technology Improvement plans along with assisting business project teams with delivering our corporate objectives.
  • Using your experience, skills, and knowledge to solve complex problems affecting systems and services, and design and deliver new services as required.
  • Configuring and managing the systems that support our end user device lifecycle.

What we are looking for

You will need to demonstrate you meet the following criteria in your application and during your interview:

  • This role requires you to have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (or suitable demonstrable experience), so you must submit evidence of your qualifications or discuss your experience during your interview.
  • As an organisation, we have recently migrated away from using a thin client architecture to deliver desktop services to colleagues; this has meant a transition to a number of new technologies, and we are looking for someone who has experience in configuring, deploying, and managing the technologies required to support the device lifecycle in a Microsoft Endpoint environment.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in the other elements that make up a corporate network including enterprise backups, corporate Firewall solutions, VPN services, and complex corporate networks.
  • You will need to be comfortable being hands-on as we operate both in the cloud and with an on-premise data centre, where we have physical servers for which the Infrastructure team are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • It is expected that the ideal candidate will have extensive experience of Microsoft 365 services including the Office suite, Exchange Online, Entra, and Azure.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm. Hybrid working is available for this position, with 3 days per week working from the office and 2 days per week working from home (once fully trained). Our Head Office is based in Clifton.
