We’re looking for a Database Architect to join our ever-evolving Cloud team to help us unleash the potential of every business.
About the team: The Infrastructure Cloud Engineering team would be responsible for designing, engineering, and building a mix of on-prem, private-hybrid or multi-cloud IaaS IT systems. Aims to provide the Infrastructure Services & Technology organization with a standardized, efficient, and scalable platform, tools, and services for development and deployment.
What you’ll own:
- Be responsible for core infrastructure engineering strategy and execution, in alignment with the company's business objectives, demands and regulatory requirements.
- Bring your deep experience to the table to develop and shape a roadmap for Infrastructure evolution, delivering key initiatives and priorities to enhance performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Design, engineer and implement new Infrastructure solutions & develop a Platform as a service model, with an automation first culture, promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & tooling standards across Worldpay for On-Prem & Private Cloud Infrastructure services.
- Liaise and interface with project managers, enterprise architects, solution architects, infrastructure domains and where relevant the business to ensure that Infrastructure Design & Delivery supports future technology strategy, business strategy and project requirements across all Worldpay business divisions.
- Take ownership of new initiatives and defining requirements and acceptance criteria for Proof of Concepts and taking suitable solutions into production.
- Manage relationships & collaborate with Key stakeholders including other core infrastructure services teams, product management, engineering, security, risk, and compliance teams to define, prioritize and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to drive alignment and synergy across teams.
- Be responsible for the On-Prem & Private Cloud infrastructure engineering, providing governance and guardrails for development, testing, production, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to continually improve and innovate our infrastructure and cloud capabilities.
