The Role
The POS Systems Analyst will work as part of the Retail Technology Team to execute Pret’s POS configuration strategy, working alongside Pret’s retail technology team to deliver support and ensure Pret has up-to-date and efficiently configured point of sale systems. This is a hands-on system management role responsible for menu, promotion, and system design/screen layout on all of Pret’s and our relevant franchise partners’ point of sale systems.
The POS Systems Analyst will assist the food development and customer experience teams when defining promotions and changes to understand the art of the possible in our till systems and to ensure these changes are carried out safely and successfully by providing guidance and testing before changes are introduced into live systems. This role will work closely with our transformation team to make changes in pricing or product availability as required.
Reporting to the Senior Business System Manager, the role will be responsible for the design of our till workflow and screen layout, getting the best out of our point-of-sale software and ensuring our shop teams have the most efficient tills possible. This role will also be required to provide support and resolve tickets requesting help on pricing or layout etc in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Supports Pret shops, teams and franchise partners to manage and deliver changes to our POS menus and functionality.
- Works closely with customer experience teams to make changes to the menu items and pricing on all relevant platforms.
- Manages changes in a controlled and safe manner to ensure shop operations are not disrupted.
- Provides testing and development for POS changes and technologies.
Skills and experience
- An expert POS technician who is able to work across multiple platforms to configure and manage changes to our technologies.
- Experience supporting EPOS in a multisite, franchised organisation.
- A strong ePOS specialist with experience in typical restaurant and QSR systems including but not limited to Oracle, Symphony and Hamilton-Grant recipe Management platforms.
- Passionate about staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies.
- A sought out, innovative technician sought out for the ability to solve problems and deliver reliable support.
- Experience in executing technology strategies, testing products and supporting retail technology eco-systems.
- An excellent communicator with good spoken and written English language skills.
- Exposure to both ITSM and agile ways of working.
