Responsibilities:
- Respond to product/application related local and European customer inquiries and feedback through the appropriate questioning techniques to identify the nature of the request/complaint. Most support will be given remotely, e.g. via e-mail, phone and chat.
- Advise the appropriate sales staff of the content of product/application related customer inquiries and feedback, and their outcome.
- Meet with agreed service levels, time scales and standard operating procedures.
- On request - deliver up-to-date application training on company products and their related scientific background, for sales staff, other company departments, and/or customers.
- Seek opportunities to convert application related inquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (e.g. lead generation, up-and cross-selling and initiating quotations).
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and competence on specialist subjects, products and their applications.
- Establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with customers and sales staff.
- Manage scientific support information database/documentation/paperwork, prioritizing and processing this in an orderly and consistent manner, maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date information on all technical customer requests of information and feedback.
Who you are:
- Life Sciences degree, preferably PhD or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent in English and German or French, additional European language/s is beneficial.
- Prior scientific and laboratory experience with solid demonstrable expertise in Lab Filtration products like lab scale filter papers, glass microfiber filter, membrane filters as well as syringe filters, discs and capsule filter, centrifugal devices, microwell filter plates, tangential flow filtration system (Cytiva Minimate) and/or filtration hardware.
- Desired experience from working with filtration of microbiology samples, environmental monitoring and immunodiagnostics assays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization.
- Team oriented and customer focused - the ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in PC computer skills and in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Willingness to travel.
- EU work permit.
- GMP experience and process development is an advantage.
- Experience of giving scientific presentations and building and maintaining customer relationships.
