Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview

Are you a cloud infrastructure expert looking to make a real difference in healthcare? We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) and play a vital role in transforming how we deliver critical services. This hybrid role expects 2‑3 days on site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud solutions that support our mission of providing exceptional care to millions.
• Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
• Use automation and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) to streamline operations, reduce costs and drive innovation in service delivery.
• Manage cloud environments, troubleshoot complex issues and implement best practices for security and compliance within the NHS framework.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure is robust and capable of supporting life‑saving applications and systems while keeping patient data secure.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tools.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and NHS information governance.
• Experience with automation, monitoring and performance optimisation of cloud services.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.

Working Arrangements

Hybrid role with an expectation of 2‑3 days working on site.
