We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join our client's dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the company's cash inflows and outflows, ensuring efficient customer credit control and timely supplier payments.

Our client is an international business based in Bury St Edmunds, with a fantastic reputation for people development with an inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, including conducting performance reviews and setting annual objectives.
  • Cash Flow Management: Prepare weekly cash forecasts for UK and German entities; manage currency payments and ensure achievement of cash targets.
  • Credit Control: Set appropriate customer credit limits, liaise with sales teams to maximize sales, and manage credit exposures.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee customer and supplier account maintenance, including handling Letters of Credit, managing outstanding balances, and revenue recognition per IFRS 15.
  • Risk Management: Manage relationships with risk management service providers like Dun & Bradstreet, ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 for bad debt provisions.
  • Supplier Payments: Collaborate with the AP Supervisor to ensure timely supplier payments and accurate allocation of receipts.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Essential: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. Experience with risk management systems, such as Dun & Bradstreet. Ability to work independently, with an adaptable and commercial approach.
  • Desirable: Experience with IFS information systems. Multilingual capabilities (German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.). Background in Customer Service roles.
