Due to business growth they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
THE ROLE:The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for solar PV and EV installations, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications. Using industry standards and best practices, the Electrical Design Engineer will create technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each project. The Electrical Design Engineer will also collaborate with other engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the electrical design and installation. The role will require occasional site visits and inspections, as well as keeping up to date with the latest technologies and regulations in the field. The Electrical Design Engineer will contribute to the company's innovation and growth by delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations.
- Designing and developing electrical systems for solar PV and EV installations, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications
- Creating technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each project
- Conducting site visits and inspections as required
- Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the electrical design and installation
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and regulations in the field
- Assisting Sales, Contracting and O&M divisions with technical designs
- Contributing to the company's innovation and growth by delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations
- Communication with client pre, during and delivery
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm
THE CANDIDATE:This role demands a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and design. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of solar PV and EV systems, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications. The candidate will also have excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure. The candidate will be proficient in using various software tools and applications for electrical design and engineering, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble etc. The candidate will also have a keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability, and a passion for innovation and excellence.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design and engineering
- Experience in solar PV and EV systems, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications
- Experience in using various software tools and applications for electrical design and engineering, such as AutoCAD, Trimble
- Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Experience in HV design
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Full UK Driving license
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
- Health & Safety qualification
- Project Management Qualification
- Contributory pension
