Personal Assistant

Hi, my name is Alexander Murray and I live in Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway. I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant that can support me due to several health conditions including cerebral palsy and autism. I also have a peg feed in situ, but training for my peg feeding/nutrition will be provided by the homeward nurse.

My hobbies include going to music concerts locally, and if it\’s in Edinburgh or Glasgow, I would require someone with me. The same applies if I am going away for weekends; I would need someone to support me to ensure I am safe and that medication is administered correctly. Other hobbies include going out for meals, playing a game of pool, ten-pin bowling, and I would also like to try go-karting. I enjoy the occasional nights at Auchenlarie, although I haven’t been in a long time.

My main support is provided through a care provider, but I require a PA for 4 hours per week. Days and times can be discussed. A travel allowance can be discussed at the interview. The hourly rate will be £12/hour with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata. A suitable PVG is required, and access to your own vehicle is essential.
