A prominent and highly reputable organisation in the utilities sector is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for a contract role in Portsmouth.

This Strategic Sourcing Manager opportunity in Portsmouth is a hybrid position (x3 days on-site), with the role reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager.

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead sourcing strategies across multiple procurement projects, establishing strong stakeholder relationships, challenge existing procurement models, and develop innovative sourcing solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage sourcing strategies for procurement projects, ensuring best value and regulatory compliance.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and contract negotiations.
• Provide expert commercial and contractual guidance across a range of categories including Construction, IT & Technology, and Professional Services.
• Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions that drive business efficiency.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to present complex contractual data clearly.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
• Experience within the water industry or category-specific supply chains.
• Knowledge of regulated procurement procedures (UCR/PCR) and NEC suite of contracts.
• CIPS/MCIPS qualification or equivalent expertise.
