Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, required for our client, a prestigious hotel located in the outer Crawley Down area - in the South East. Reporting to the F&B Manager with responsibility for service standards across multi F&B departments, to include: Restaurants, Bars, C&B, Room Service, Afternoon Tea service.

The Role of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager:

  • Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, you will through effective management of the following areas be jointly accountable for food service standards across this busy food and beverage operation.
  • Beverage Control
  • Planning and Communication
  • Staffing and Training
  • Management of Resources/IT
  • Financial Control
  • Service Delivery

Your role will be demanding but interesting and offering growth with experience gained across:

  • Running the varied range of busy food and beverage operations ensuring service delivery standards are met across all outlets.
  • Employee recruitment, training, coaching and performance management encouraging everyone to give of their best.
  • Stock and resource control to ensure effective cost control while achieving high levels of service and ensuring all products and services are always available.
  • Planning and looking ahead, spotting future challenges and delivering solutions in advance.
  • Be effective in a range of upselling skills, promotions and initiatives, encouraging others to deliver with you.
  • Revenue control through effective pricing, billing and service delivery to ensure targets are met.
  • Protecting and enhancing the accolades held by the hotel and restaurants through effective management and implementation of new ideas and initiatives.

Requirements for the role of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager:

  • To be successful in your application you will need to;
  • Be living within the local area, with your own transport
  • Be able to work 45 hours per week over 5 days including weekends, both morning and evening shifts
  • Have a proven record of food and beverage management experience in a 4+ star quality environment
  • Be well presented, an effective host and the enthusiasm to inspire others

Salary for the role of Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, is given as £32,000 (plus a share of the service charge payment paid monthly). Plus, other company benefits. Transport will be required due to location and shifts.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
