The Opportunity

A well-established London-based law firm, highly regarded for its expertise across various legal disciplines, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Tax Professional to join its growing team. This role is based at their modern office near London Bridge, within a friendly and supportive Wills, Trusts, and Probate team.

The team handles a diverse range of work, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate, and Estate Administration. The firm is looking to expand its capabilities in Trust creation and administration, as well as Tax and Estate planning.

Location- Central London

Salary- £60,000-£70,000 DOE

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on trust structures and tax implications.
  • Preparing documentation for the creation, variation, and termination of trusts.
  • Handling trust administration, including taxation and compliance.
  • Preparing Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax Returns for trusts.
  • Managing trustees and beneficiaries, arranging trustee meetings, and maintaining compliance.
  • Engaging with the Trust Registration Service.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 2–3 years of PQE or relevant experience in Trusts and Tax.
  • Be experienced in creating and administering different trust types and their taxation.
  • Have knowledge of Probate and Estate Administration.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Be proactive in generating referrals and supporting marketing efforts.
  • Have experience with Lexcel compliance, IT systems, and case management tools.
