Job Description

Qualified Senior Social Worker, Worcestershire Council, Children\’s Kinship Team – Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children\’s Social Work team.

The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The responsibilities will include:

1. Have proven experience of completing connected person (kinship) assessments and reports to a high standard.
2. Good knowledge of the fostering regulation and minimum standards.
3. Responsible for the assessment and support of kinship foster carers and undertaking viability and special guardianship assessments for court submission.
4. Manage a case load.
5. Liaise with other professionals.
6. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
7. 3 month Temporary Contract.
8. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
