Key Responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify any mechanical issues
• Performing necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing faulty parts and components
• Troubleshooting vehicle systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
• Conducting major overhauls and engine rebuilds when needed
• Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and service performed on HGVs
• Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies in HGV mechanics
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic
• Class 2 HGV license and clean driving record
• In-depth knowledge of HGV systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair manuals
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
