We are working on behalf of an Outstanding secondary school in Hounslow to recruit a Graduate Music Assistant & Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a background in Music, Performing Arts or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on school-based experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Role Overview:
- Location: Hounslow, West London
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract: Full-time, term-time only
- Salary: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Music Department in lessons, rehearsals, and extracurricular activities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students in music classes
- Cover lessons across various subjects when required, following the school's curriculum plans
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
- Assist in organising school concerts, performances and music events
- Support students in developing their musical abilities and creativity
Requirements:
- A degree in Music or a related subject (or strong musical background)
- Enthusiasm for education and working with young people
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students and staff
- Previous experience working with young people or in schools (desirable but not essential)
