Experienced in freight forwarding? Ready to step into a client-facing role where you own the process end to end? We’re seeking a confident and capable Senior Freight Forwarder to join a dynamic and growing logistics business. You’ll be the main point of contact for key clients, managing multimodal shipments and ensuring seamless delivery from booking to final mile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle of shipments via road, sea, and air
- Coordinate with agents, co-loaders, hauliers, airlines, and internal teams
- Input and maintain accurate job data in freight software systems
- Provide clients with proactive shipment updates at key milestones
- Work closely with in-house customs team on clearances and duty/VAT invoicing
- Negotiate haulage rates and confirm deliveries
- Prepare costings, raise invoices, and close jobs accurately
- Resolve any supplier invoice or operational queries
- Collect necessary documentation before release of cargo
- Ensure payment received for COD/Non-credit clients before delivery
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding / operations
- Good understanding of customs procedures
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach
- Familiarity with MULTIFREIGHT software is a bonus
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
