About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join and lead their dynamic team at the new family centre in Widnes. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children and families facing a range of challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs and developing tailored support plans.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions, including family therapy, individual therapy, and group work.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
  • Participate in case reviews and multi-agency meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Significant post-qualifying experience working with children and families.
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
