Bookkeeper
Wolverhampton
Up to £32,000 DOE

Puro Associates are pleased to be working with a leading accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Wolverhampton. The practice provides a wide range of accounting services to clients in various industries and are looking for a bookkeeper who can manage a portfolio of clients with accuracy and attention to detail, using double entry bookkeeping.

Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper:

• Sales and purchase invoice entry
• Recording and reconciliation of bank/cash/credit card/paypal transactions
• Preparation and/or review of CIS submissions
• Assist clients with any bookkeeping related queries
• Liaise with HMRC as necessary to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
• Posting month end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and prepayments
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns including VAT schemes

Requirements of the Bookkeeper:

• A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
