Job Details
- 30 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed.
- This role offers hybrid working, with an expectation to work from Bridgwater House office alongside colleagues in Children’s Social Care.
- The position is offered on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
We’re working to improve the lives of children in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Processing fostering and Kinship applications
- Taking telephone calls
- Chasing references
- Managing a busy mailbox by monitoring and responding to emails
- Arranging and minuting meetings as required by the team
Required Experience and Qualifications
We offer ongoing support, training, and guidance to help you excel. It will help if you:
- Are passionate about helping vulnerable children and young people in Somerset
- Have a warm, friendly, non-judgemental manner to help families feel comfortable, especially in difficult situations
- Have office experience
- Are proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, MS Teams, Excel) and comfortable with databases
- Can handle changing deadlines and priorities
- Are educated to GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths
Additional Information
Salary: £19,787 – £20,418 per annum for 30 hours/week.
