Job Summary
As the Construction division within GRAHAM continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with sound knowledge of construction methods and safety, health & environmental legislation. The role involves preparing safety, health & environment responses for pre-qualification, bid, tender, and assessment scheme submissions. The successful candidate will report to the Safety, Health & Environment Director, providing thorough answers to relevant questions, reviewing submissions, creating and updating response databases, attending site visits, client interviews, and debriefs, and reviewing subcontractor responses.
The role may involve hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week based in our Hillsborough Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide responses to pre-qualification, bid, and tender questions related to SHE issues.
- Work to tight deadlines on multiple issues without compromising quality.
- Visit sites to understand hazards and address them in responses.
- Develop and maintain a database of responses accessible to team members.
- Complete award submissions and gather evidence through site visits.
Note: The role may require travel throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays.
Person Specification
Technical Competencies (Essential)
- Experience in completing SHE responses for pre-qualification, bids, and tenders.
- Knowledge of relevant SHE legislation, guidance, and standards.
- Understanding of construction processes and site operations.
- Minimum 3 years in construction (Building, Civil Engineering, Interior Fit-out).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of standards like ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, PAS 2080.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to achieve security clearance.
Desirable
- Formal environmental qualification.
- NEBOSH Diploma.
