We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join a global organisation within the logistics and transport planning sector. This role supports the Senior Traffic Operator in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport services and delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated fleet of drivers and vehicles, with a focus on maximising revenue performance.
- Support all aspects of customer transport requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal drivers and transport partners.
- Allocate and coordinate Subcontractor Transport Suppliers.
- Build and schedule loads as needed to meet service expectations.
- Ensure all transport activities meet customer lead time and delivery standards.
- Accurately input job details into our logistics software (ADVANTAGE).
- Provide cover for key team members during absences (training will be provided).
- Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational needs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
About You:
- Experience in the Road Haulage or Transport Planning industry.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, under pressure, and show initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt transport plans quickly.
- Understanding of EU driver hours and transport regulations.
- Transport Manager CPC qualification (or willingness to complete CPC training).
