Grounds Maintenance and Gardening Volunteer
To help maintain the grounds of the Rare Breeds Centre.
Responsibilities to include:
- Maintaining flower bed areas
- Maintaining bug hotel and wildlife areas
- Basic maintenance of hedges for wildlife and feeding to large livestock
- Building and creating wildlife homes
- Installing bird boxes and bug hotels
- Using sit-on ride mower and strimmer around site
- Provide good customer service to visitors as required
This role can be tailored to your skills, so it can be Gardening or Maintenance based or a combination of both.
Skills
You have:
- Gardening &/or basic DIY skills
- Awareness of Health & Safety
- Ability to work in sympathy with the aims of The Salvation Army by showing respect, empathy, and treating people with dignity
Suggested Session Times
8.30am – 12.30pm
10am – 2pm
11am – 3pm
1pm – 5pm
All day 8.30am – 5pm
