Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist education setting in Milton Keynes that supports young people with a range of educational and social needs.
In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside teachers and therapists to provide individualised support, promote engagement, and help students develop both academically and personally. The centre offers a broad curriculum including core academic subjects, vocational training, and wellbeing activities to prepare learners for positive futures.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning in a personalised way.
- Assisting in lessons across subjects such as English, Maths, Hair & Beauty, Construction, and Food Technology.
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
- Experience working with SEN (Special Educational Needs) or young people with additional needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
