Maintain, configure, and optimize secure police IT systems and networks.

Oversee criminal intelligence databases, evidence management platforms, and officer communication tools.

Ensure compliance with Home Office guidelines, CJIS security policies, and GDPR regulations.

Implement access controls and encryption measures to protect sensitive law enforcement data.

Monitor real-time system performance, proactively identifying security threats or vulnerabilities.

Work closely with cybercrime units, forensic IT specialists, and emergency response teams.

Manage secure cloud environments and disaster recovery protocols for policing IT systems.

Assist with digital forensics investigations, supporting officers with evidence extraction and retention.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in IT system administration within government, policing, or security sectors.
- Configuring/managing NICHE system
- Active NPPV3 clearance (used currently or within the last 6 months)
- Build and configure NICHE and also help set up work flows
- Understanding permissions
- Used to building out hierarchy
