Description of the Role:

Abernathy Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated HHA, PCA, or CNA professionals to join our team in Reading, North Reading, and nearby towns. #nowhiring #joinourteam #homecare

Role Overview:

As a member of Abernathy Home Care, you will provide exceptional care and support to clients in their homes. Your duties include assisting with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and light housekeeping. You will help improve our clients\’ quality of life and support their independence.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing)
2. Perform light housekeeping (tidying, laundry)
3. Prepare and serve nutritious meals; assist with feeding if needed
4. Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse)
5. Provide medication reminders under supervision of healthcare professionals
6. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety
7. Offer companionship and emotional support
8. Report changes in client condition to supervisors

Requirements:

1. Valid certification as an HHA, PCA, or CNA
2. Prior experience preferred
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently and follow instructions
5. Reliable and punctual
6. Minimum age of 18
7. Valid driver\’s license
8. Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
9. Supporting Home Care Aide certification is a plus
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality
11. Pass criminal background and reference checks
