We are recruiting for a Sales Apprentice based in Larne, Northern Ireland. You will support the sales team in achievement of sales and profit targets whilst maintaining high levels of customer sales support. Responsible for the day-to-day internal management of Key Accounts, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery is achieved.

As part of this apprenticeship you will be enrolled on to a Business Administration apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support the growth and development of Key Accounts within defined portfolio against targets working with the Management and TMs to achieve maximum potential.
• Daily review and improve low margin lines – despatched and PA costs.
• Review of ship thru margins to determine margin enhancement opportunities working with procurement to determine alternative products to enhance over all margins.
• Support NPI process of new product lines added to the business, working with procurement where necessary and communicating to TM/customer when available to order.
• Support Sales team with customer cost changes, price agreements for agreed Key Accounts
• Ensure customer price file is updated and live for web ordering.
• Manage Key Account’s stock profiles – weekly & monthly review of forecasts liaising with Key Accounts, Inventory & Suppliers
• Manage Weekly Back Order Reports for Key Accounts
• General support for the Branches overall back orders
• Manage the CSR process to ensure stock available when required. Communicate with customer and TMs.
• Maintain effective communications and good working relationships with all internal and external teams, particularly operations, sales, stock control and credit control to ensure maximum customer service levels are achieved.
• Deal with category queries including stock and non-stock items, delisted and obsolete codes (H & O), code changes and supersessions.
• Support Contract/Tender administration tasks
• Work with the Sales and Finance teams to ensure customer price agreements are maintained and accurate, including customer alignment, overall margin management, price increase management, price support management (rebates), code changes, UOM issues
• Carry out any other reasonable request by the business

• Proficient user of MS Packages, especially Excel
• Be confident interacting with customers and internally, while at the same time able to interact well with peers
• Willingness to learn

• Be well organised, detail-conscious, pro-active, hard-working, and resilient
• Be flexible in their approach and able to work under pressure
