We are seeking a dedicated flexible and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join the dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to make a real impact, ensuring all projects are delivered safely and efficiently while building strong relationships with our clients. If you're serious about career development, there is the opportunity to take over the SHEQ department within 2-3 years.
Your Key Deliverables:
- Compliance Champion: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure strict adherence to company systems and processes.
- Safety Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor work areas for SHEQ compliance, escalating significant findings to the Head of SHEQ and senior management.
- Culture Development: Implement effective systems to further enhance our positive health and safety culture.
- Project Support: Provide expert SHEQ advice and assistance to our project teams.
- Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their SHEQ requirements are met.
- Incident Management: Conduct thorough accident and incident investigations, ensuring all actions and recommendations are implemented.
- Communication & Presentation: Attend and present at weekly project review meetings, communicating audit findings effectively.
- Sub-contractor Management: Monitor and control sub-contractor SHEQ performance across projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of our SHEQ Management System.
- Professional Development: Maintain personal competence and engage in continuous professional development.
- Business Support: Work across the company to address specific business issues as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential:
- NEBOSH Construction or National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or studying towards.
- Proven practical experience of CDM Regulations 2015.
- An understanding and practical application of HSG47/Underground Utility Avoidance and GS6 Avoiding Danger from Overhead Powerlines would be desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrable construction and/or utility sector knowledge and experience would be desirable.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
