Pearse are working exclusively with one of the UK’s most exciting B2B SaaS start-ups who are looking for a strategic CFO to guide them through their next phase of growth. As one of the leaders in the space, offering software solutions to financial institutions to ensure regulatory compliance, they recently received significant investment, led by one of Europe’s top-tier tech-focussed venture capital funds. Following this, they have launched in the US and are now forecasting revenue growth to £10m+ ARR over the next 12 months.
Key responsibilities:
- The CFO will lead on all financial aspects of the business, reporting directly to their CEO/Founder and leading the overall finance function.
- Responsible for driving the future growth of the business by leading financial strategy.
- Strategic partner to the CEO and wider leadership team to support on commercial initiatives and long-term planning.
- Lead on fundraising projects, including a mid-2026 capital raise.
- Provide guidance and execution support on key milestones: Growth to £10m ARR over the next 12 months, group profitability by Q4 2025 and international expansion into the US market.
- M&A execution, including diligence, financial modelling and integration support.
- Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the business to scale.
- Manage and scale a world class finance team.
- Management of key investor relationships.
- Own and continually develop KPI reporting and analysis of key SaaS metrics.
- Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of working within a VC backed SaaS or fintech environment.
- CFO experience in a fast growth start-up or scale-up.
- Highly commercially astute and sharp communicator.
- Ability to become a strategic partner to the co-founders.
- Previous M&A experience preferred.
