My Client, a large global financial services brand is looking for an experienced Partner Due Diligence Operations Manager on an initial contract basis. The role is Inside IR35 and Hybrid. The newly created role will be responsible for ensuring that both prospective and existing partners are submitted to the required level of due diligence.
The responsibilities will be as follows:
- Facilitating the due diligence process for prospective partners liaising closely with business development teams to ensure consistency and conduct quality checks.
- Executing regular due diligence refreshes for existing partners based on frequencies defined as per the risk level of each partner.
- Assessing the risk of prospect/partner based on DD information provided and recommending risk mitigation steps as needed.
- Coordinating with subject matter experts such as Compliance, Infosec and Fraud teams to ensure timely input from all relevant stakeholders.
- Engaging closely with partners to ensure the right level of documentation and timely/accurate responses to follow-ups.
- Ensuring partner communications are clearly and simply written, detailing exactly what is required, by when, and the consequences for non-adherence.
- Ensuring internal communications to Partner Managers are always clear.
- Facilitating training to ensure all bank partners completely understand due diligence requirements and ensuring bank staff are adequately trained to be self-sufficient and able to comply.
Strong relationship building skills with BD's and Partner Managers across all Regions and subject matter experts such as Compliance, Infosec and Fraud teams. Experience in and strong understanding of the Network Partnerships business and the partner ecosystem. Proficient in client due diligence procedures, sanctions, and monitoring.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Law, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial services with at least 3 years in due diligence, AML, financial crimes or compliance.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
In-depth understanding of:
- AML, OFAC Banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, FinCEN)
- Third-party risk management
- Data privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR)
- Fraud prevention frameworks and red flags
- Information security standards
Proven experience conducting:
- Risk-based due diligence and enhanced due diligence
- Third party vendor onboarding and monitoring
- Sanctions screening and adverse media checks
- KYC/CCD/EDD investigations
Familiarity with tools like LexisNexis, Bankers Almanac and Dow Jones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CISA, CIPM, CRMA, CRCM
- Experience interacting with regulatory examiners, auditors and legal counsel
- Experience with fintech-bank partnerships, sponsor banks, or embedded finance
- Experience working in forensic accounting or conducting investigations
- Experience at a Category 1 Bank or Management Consulting in Financial Services
- Knowledge of emerging risks in fintech
