Role Overview: The Senior Operations Manager, Exhibitions (SOME) will work closely with the VP & Director of Exhibitions, Senior Project Manager, and senior client stakeholders to oversee all aspects of exhibition operational management, ensuring support for creative visions, smooth delivery, and a premium visitor experience. The role includes managing visitor services, attendant events, and ensuring operational excellence within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, support management of key stakeholders including IP holders, venues, and authorities, and facilitate team meetings.
- Site Management: Oversee venue management, staff training, and delivery of ancillary events, ensuring high-quality visitor experiences and brand consistency.
- Financial & Commercial: Manage budgets, monitor milestones, report on performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Operations: Coordinate the planning, management, and execution of exhibitions, manage project schedules, and oversee onsite operations and logistics.
- Merchandise Production: Collaborate on producing and managing exhibition merchandise, ensuring quality and brand alignment.
- Business Development: Contribute ideas for future projects and pipeline development.
- Challenges & Travel: Be prepared for occasional extended hours, weekend work, and international travel for meetings and exhibitions.
