Currently working with a Globally Significant Investment Bank, who are looking for a Sanctions Advisory SME to join their team in Glasgow. The role will be a significant point of contact and escalation for any Sanctions queries, working at Group Level across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading sanctions risk advisory for the IBD & GCM businesses.
  • Acting as the point of escalation for the IBD & GCM businesses on sanctions matters.
  • Providing support to the business in connection with regulatory interpretation and application of sanctions policies and standards as well as the Firm's risk appetite.
  • Overseeing the application of the sanctions framework across EMEA for IBD & GCM business activities, including coordination across relevant teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (5+ years in Sanctions), preferably at a large/complex financial institution.
  • Detailed understanding of the Sanctions regulatory environment (knowledge of UK and EU laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to sanctions desirable).
  • An understanding of the Investment Banking sector and experience in the provision of financial crimes subject matter advisory expertise within the sector.
