About The Role

Practice Plus Group is one of England's largest independent providers of self-pay, insured and NHS healthcare. Practice Plus Group Hospital Plymouth has a CQC Good rating and provides excellent healthcare to the population of Plymouth and the south west region, including Cornwall, Isles of Scilly and all of Devon. We are an elective surgical centre providing arthroplasty surgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy and cataract surgery. The clinical departments include Outpatients, Day Surgery Unit, 30-bed Inpatient Ward, 4 Theatres, Endoscopy suite, Radiography, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, with care provided by a multidisciplinary team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth as the Clinical Governance Manager. Working closely with the Senior Management Team and the Clinical teams, the post holder will be responsible for leading the quality governance agenda for the hospital, including risk management, patient safety event management, continuous improvement, complaint handling, patient experience, compliance and audit, to ensure the efficient, compliant, safe and high-quality delivery of care. You will be a registered nurse, educated to degree level or with relevant experience and have strong communication, analysis and organisational skills. The role will require an ability to create strong working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues at all levels within the hospital and the wider organisation, as well as an ability to frequently present to a wide and varied audience and chair meetings.

What we'll look for in you

  • Qualifications: Post holder must be a registered nurse with appropriate Professional Registration - NMC; Evidence of post basic qualification study / CPD; Recognised leadership and / or management qualification; Post registration governance / quality qualification.
  • Experience: Evidence of post basic qualification study / CPD; Recognised leadership and / or management qualification; Post registration governance / quality qualification; Experience of policy writing; Experience in Orthopaedics will be an advantage; Experience of Infection Control / Health and safety from a managerial perspective; Experience in risk management, complaint handling, audit and quality improvement.
