A national multidisciplinary consultancy, based in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to join their growing team. Operating across multiple sectors with a strong pipeline of public and private sector developments, this is an ideal opportunity for a Project Manager looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and forward-thinking project management team.

The successful Intermediate Project Manager will be responsible for managing a range of public sector capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and client expectations are all met to a high standard. Working closely with senior stakeholders, design teams, and contractors, the Intermediate Project Manager will deliver key government-funded projects through established frameworks. Experience working on projects under the NHS, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, or Department for Education is essential.

A background in Tier 1 consultancy environments, such as Turner & Townsend, Mace, Arcadis or similar, will be considered highly beneficial and reflect the nature of work expected in this role.

  • Project management experience within a consultancy environment
  • Proven background delivering public sector projects (NHS, Education, MOD, MOJ)
  • Experience with Tier 1 consultancies (e.g. T&T, Mace) is desirable
  • Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms
  • Degree qualified in a property, construction or project management related discipline
  • Ideally working towards or holding chartership (MRICS, MAPM, RIBA or similar)
