We are looking for highly motivated Calibration Technicians for a client of ours in the Aviation MRO space. You will work within our calibration laboratory, ensuring precision and compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Using traceable and accredited standards while maintaining full compliance with UKAS regulations, technical expertise will be crucial in driving calibration excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration of RF and electronic equipment, battery chargers/analysers, and air data test sets using approved procedures and best metrology practices.
  • Ensure accurate completion of calibration certificates and records.
  • Participate in UKAS and accreditation audits to uphold quality standards.
  • Create measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration, ensuring it meets required standards before re-calibration.
  • Perform repair to the component level, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Calibration Technician.
  • Background in inspection and calibration within manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
  • Technical qualification (Degree, HND, or HNC preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of calibration practices and theories.
  • Excellent understanding of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in repair to the component level.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration.
  • Good understanding of circuit diagrams and the ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Recognised trade qualification or relevant military education.
